A week ago the live traffic info disappeared from my C300 2016 Navigator screen. According to the dealer it is due to the fact that the 3G net has been discontinued. However according to a recent email from mbrace it will be discontinued on 12/01/2022. They told me that the problem I have is that the live traffic feature in my car has been expired, and that it was good for only 3 years (I had this car for 5 years), and it is not renewable. When I bought the car as a pre-owned in 2017 nobody told the that the Navigator features had an expiration date. I am really confused. What is really happening?
Sounds like you've been given some bad info. Your model year C300 uses SiriusXM Traffic for live traffic. Don't remember how many years were originally included, but yes, your subscription expired and you have to renew it. Below are the plans available for a 2016 C300.
If you haven't transferred the SiriusXM radio to your own account, then you'll have to do that first and then renew the traffic subscription.
