Confused about aftermarket exhaust options

Hey all,

So I'd like my C400 to sound a bit better, but I know nothing about aftermarket exhaust.
I've watched some videos on YouTube with the AWE exhaust and a couple others, yeah they sound good but it's a lot more than I want to spend.
Surely there must be some other simpler options than replacing the whole exhaust? Are new downpipes what I'd be looking for? A new muffler?
I don't want an obnoxious sound, just something fruitier sounding.

Thanks!

I guess I’m really old. I have never heard of wanting a fruitier sound. What fruit?

Budget hopefully around $1000 or less, and I'd get a shop to do it.
Yeah fruitier ... Like more exciting, more flavorful, more substance to it.

Something like this sound:
So a "muffler delete" is just removing the muffler? I would think that it would sound like some meth head stole the cats ... But in that video, it sounds good to me.
