S205 C43 estate LED package retrofit
#1
![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I recently bought a C43/C450 S205 estate, but it does not have the LED package just normal Halogen package. The Headlights I know for sure the OEM doesnt fit but some aftermarket headlights will fit it and its made for specially the halogen version. But the tail lights anyone knows of OEM would fit ?
Heres some pictures and difirents
Halogen version

As for the halogen I thought it was plug and play? I might be reading this wrong though, if so I am sorry about that. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...to-auto-2.html

The headlights are Plug and Play if u buy the aftermarket made for the halogen version otherwise the OEMs wont fit. But the tail lights its not the same sadly, the LED looks like this on S205

The front has to be aftermarket but you can install OEM into the rear as they should be plug and play and should not give any problem to CAMBUS.
There are Youtubers who have changed the rear lights just by plugin them in but you can also purchase after market rears.

Exactly the answer i was looking for, OEM rear lights are actually quite cheap and as I know no one makes After market rear lights for the S205 estate sadly. Thanks !

Yeah, I do not see many S205 as for here in Canada, you need to special order them. They are never just sitting at around at the dealership. Now because of this, you will find it hard to find people who will modify this model.

When I moved from the GTA down North I do see more of these compared to regular sedans but still as you would expect absolutely filled with SUVs mostly. I do also occasionally see them in dealership stock as new but as you mentioned it was probably a customer order that the customer changed their mind on.

I talked to few people at mercedes they said sadly the OEM LED will not fit on the Halogen version so i guess its the end of the search for the tail lights for me

I am sorry to hear that but I thought someone tried it and it did work? If this makes you feel better at least the taillight itself is actual LED just that the shape is not the full LED design. The halogen is really the front headlight (but I guess you already know that), if this makes you feel better the two curve (one on each taillight) looks like a smile in the rear at night.

The people at MB don't always know what they are speaking about. For example, I asked if I could install the C43 Exhaust, they told me NO but then another MB owner did just that.
I asked if I could change my head unit to digital, they told me NO but I did just that.
When I asked them to updated my AMG information, they told me NO but I got it done at MBHouse.
So I would believe the people at MB as they do not mod cars.
