RADIO WONT RESPOND/SWITCHED TO ANDROID SAME ISSUE
I have a 2017 C300 and my radio wont respond. The CD cant be ejected and I'm unable to even scroll through the menu as it isn't responding and there are times it won't play any sounds. I thought purchasing an android radio would solve the problem but it's been chaos. With all of this happening I went ahead and bought a used radio command unit and I am having issues. I know persons on the forum tried the hard reset and it worked for them but not in my case and I'm tired of purchasing all these stuff and still cant get my radio to work. Is there a module in the trunk that controls the radio?

My car did this when it was new. MB updated the Media software 3x and then came to the same conclusion that they could only updated when I tell them to see if that would solve the problem. The other choice was to change the media center all together. Mine still does this but not all the time and I just leave it and it turns back on it's own and plays music. From what I gather, it's more than the Media center because when I loose the media center, I also loose the controls. What I'm think that since this is happened, we need to find out the wiring that powers the unit the center also.

Like I said before, a scan with Xentry is the only sure way to check this but this is my assumption.
