2019 C300, 35K miles - SW Bug?!?

Ok, so my wife is driving home from work yesterday when all of a sudden, she felt the engine shudder and the car went into limp mode and basically un-drivable. We had it towed to the dealer as it is still under warranty. Today, I found out it was a software bug?!? So, I asked if most/all 2019 C300's are having this issue, the service advisor said we were his first, again?!?

Anyone hear of or know of this kind of situation?

Thanks

Need more information, what kind of limp home, soft or hard limp? What codes were stored or any active codes, what was the vehicle doing or the driver doing before the event (driving from home is vague, on the freeway, in town, etc.? what speed what outside temperature, what temperature was the engine and coolant, etc.?
