I have been getting the attached warning message while driving the last 2 days. This was also an issue a month ago but went away after 2-3 days and then didn’t occur again until yesterday.

Worst of all, when this “Collision Prevention Assist Plus Inoperative” pops up, my accelerator completely loses power and I only have access to the brake.

So when I’m going 80mph on the highway, I only have access to the brake in order to get to the shoulder… Very dangerous. Not sure what I would do if there’s no shoulder.

After I do pull over though, I simply have to shut off the car for 15 seconds and turn it back on and can start driving again like normal and the message doesn’t come back for another 20 minutes. At that point, I have to repeat these steps.

Anyone else experience this? What’s the fix?

You need to scan it to see what is going on with it. This part is part of the ESP system so if there is communication issues related to then radar, you need to scan to find out what is exactly happening in order to even start fixing.
