Is it possible remove the large oil pan on a 2015 w205 C300 4matic, with the 2.0L m274,9 motor, from underneath the car and without pulling the motor? Does anybody have information on the process? I have looked all over the internet and can't seem to find the answer.
Right! I have asked myself the same question, and it could be designed this way for assembly line purposes, or maybe to discourage people from working on their car, or to charge for more billable hours when the car is serviced. It's also possible no time was spent designing the disassembly of the car. Why do you have to remove the motor mount arm, alternator, and wiring harness, to change a pcv valve? Try taking off the valve cover or the timing cover. My old Mercedes is only two bolts to take off the valve cover, the newer one 24 bolts, and a ton of other stuff. It's a fair question. I was also asking for the procedural steps in doing so. Hopefully, somebody has the answers.
In that case, you will need to gain access to the front and rear bolts whereas the front bolts connect to the chain cover and the rear connects to the transmission case. Looks like you got this picture form WSII and if so, it should have instructions on how to remove this part. If you can gain access to the bolts, then you maybe able to remove it and lift the engine enough to wiggle the oil the pan out.

Thanks Cosworth2000 I got the photo from what's called the Introduction to service manual. It has a brief introduction of the motor and components, unfortunately it does not have any steps for service only an introduction on the motor. Today I am going to try to figure it out. I was just hoping to find information beforehand.

I guess in that case buy a copy of WIS somewhere online that should help.
Hey,, you can purchase everything about your car on the Autodata site. I used it for my car and only cost $59.00 for 1 years of use and it will show you every step to remove this.

Thanks will consider that if I ever need it. What is the exact site though? Or is the UK one correct? They are based there?
