C450 W205 Limp mode and Transmission Code
I had my first experience with limp mode after I came to a stop at a traffic light. Happen just right after I got off the freeway and stop at the first light. After the light turns green and I gas it a little. All I got is a high rpm and the car just rolls slowly. I was like, wtf?? Gas it a little more and still nothing but high rpm. I shifted it to Park and then back to D. Upon doing so, there was a jerk. When it was on D, I gas it and still nothing but high rpm.
I parked to the side and it dawn on me that the car is in limp mode. ESP and ABS light turned on. As remember reading many treads in this forum, I turned of the car completely and reboot. That did the trick, the car went back to normal. drove a couple more miles and it happened again. after that i realized that the car would do this after i’ve let the car drive for about 10-15 minutes.
After scanning it with a snap on scanner i got these two codes:
P072100
'Rpm Sensor Output Shaft Has A Malfunction.
There Is A General Failure.
P072000
The Rpm Sensor 'output Shaft' Has An Electrical Fault. There Is A General Failure
anyone had this issue before? thank you in advanced
