ignition coils fitment question

Hey guys,

I'm having trouble figuring out what the issue is regarding fitment for some ignition coils I've recently purchased. Vehicle is a 2014 c300 (WDDGF8AB1EG183358) I recently purchased a set of the Bosch-0221604034 (2769060501). However, upon installation I'm having trouble connecting them to the plugs where they lock into place. According to Mercedes-Benz, these are supposed to cross reference with the OE coils. However, I've noticed the coil on the Bosch appear to be a bit smaller than the OE Mercedes-Benz coils. Do these things fit like Mercedes says they do? I'm lost. .

COP Tips

it's just another new boot redesign.
These do not "lock" onto plugs side like on the coil side, merely touch the spark plugs.

Make sure no silicone grease gets onto the electrical connection, just porcelain to help boot slide easy.
✌️
