I have a 2016 C300, recently changed the driver side axel. I wrestled with it until I read that both the axel and intermediate shaft should get removed together. So I removed the horseshoe clamp and managed to separate the shaft from the axel outside of the vehicle. I was able to save the original intermediate shaft, bought a new axel, new clamp, and re-assembled everything. The problem is that the intermediate shaft keeps popping out and the clamp goes loose! Anyone experienced this issue before ? It’s easy to put back in, but renders the car un-drivable every-time it comes loose which is happening often..
