2020 C300 - should I get an extended warranty?

I have a 2020 C300. I currently have 10,300 miles on it. I work from home so I don't drive it a lot. There are days at a time that my car sits in my garage. My lease ends in February 2024 - so I am planning to keep my car and finance it until I pay it off. Is it worth it for me to pay $4000 for an extended warranty?

I would say no. Just make sure you don't miss your Service A and B.

If you don't, put that $4K away for repairs. With any late model car, Toyota to MB, almost any significant mech or elec failure is going to cost thousands to fix.

So if you decide to pay 4000 $ then you need to add the cost of service A or Service B. For me this is adding to huge annual maintenance fees. I would rather go to Coco Island on a cruise.

It's pretty easy to rack up 4k in repairs. On the other hand, rare few vehicles never have anything that needs repair. I bought CPO at 28k miles and negotiated $1,600 to extend my CPO warranty an additional two years beyond the included CPO extension.

In that time, I only had the Alternate Battery malfunction (that powers the start/stop system) the repair was $750 at the dealership, covered by the extended warranty. So, the warranty expired without using all its value. However, I believe it's worth it because it insures against a very large bill, which isn't as unlikely as it should be.
