Question about installing DSP in my W205 with audio 20
To upgrade this I've ordered a compete Audio System Mfit Composet with 2 midrage, 2 tweeters and 2 woofers. To get the most out of it I want to buy either a DSP amplifier or a micro/mini amplifier.
I have a question about the wiring and hope someone could help me out.
Someone offered me a Match PP82 DSP amplifier and before buying I like to know what's all involved. I have to buy a Mercedes quadlock to iso wiring and then connect it to the iso connector of the DSP amplifier.
DO I then need to change anything else or is it just plug and play? Or do I need to cut wires somewhere to make this work? I don't want to cut wires while I want to make it back to OEM very easily. So hopefully it's plug and play.
The other thing I was thinking about was either a Eton M120.2 amplifier (or the ESX QS2 ISO) and then connect it directly to the subwoofer cable (with a 2 wire adapter) at the footrest of the passenger. There's also a lot of possibilities for 12v and earth cable over there. I'm wondering though if this would work. Do I also need a remote cable for it? Do I also need a high/low convertor or something like that?
Thanks for your input!
In your case you could go for a DSP, but meanwhile I would not recommend it any more, you do not gain a real advantage of that. With a good AMP you can set all values (Gain, Subsonic, Cutting Frequencies) and will have it work without any loss of quality. You can use the ETON Micro 120.2 by using the Sub channel in the footrest. Connect it to both of the High Inputs in the ETON and level it as much as your preferred volume is to listen to the music. It has a HighFreq cutting function. By the way, most of the AMPs have that feature. For this ETON I think there is no remote available. If you come in to a situation when you need "more" you will level it again, but that is not very comfortable. Maybe you should think about an AMP with remote capabilities, such as ESX500.1, a smaller one will do as well.
Plus and minus of the power supply is next to the footrest available. My AMP is in the trunk, so I have made a special connection straight direct from the comand unit. I have used the connectors and plugs and have a separate wire in-between that goes to the AMP. But in my case I have an Android Display retrofitted as well, so I could get the connectors in between the connectors. Sounds complicated, in the end it is very easy. The hard work was to get the cable to the trunk.

I'll use an adapter for the subwoofer wire and connect it to the high input for the Eton. Then I have to bridge them I think while then it's 2 Ohm output like the original sub cables? I'll leave the subwoofer in parallel while that's also the case in the OEM setup with burmester. With the kit I've bought there are 2 woofers instead of the little one that I have now
For the connector there are adapters available, you could also pin out the connector and connect it via WAGO. I have that Micro, too. Want to use it for the door speakers... ;-)

With the Composet I've bought from Audio System there should be also a parallel connector with it for both the subs
This is exactly the set I've bought: https://amzn.eu/d/00r0b42
Think it'll be a great upgrade especially together with the Eton... But worse then OEM W205 isn't possible :-)
