Airmatic fault - suspension has dropped
Looking for some help where possible. I am a newbie to repairing cars and willing to give anything a shot. One of my vehicles I'm having issues with is a C220d (2016) Manual AMG Premium Plus with air suspension. The suspension has dropped on a number of occasions randomly while driving. Generally it was the front of the vehicle but prior to my issue I am about to describe it has also been the whole car.
Up to recently, I have had intermittent issues with the front dropping whilst driving. Last week the car lost all power (including dashboard etc) while driving and the front of the car dropped with the error U0132FA - communication with the control unit "suspension" has a malfunction logged. I have since replaced the battery to eliminate the battery not supplying sufficient power and since doing so, the whole car has dropped and will not rise again with the error (in red) showing as 'stop vehicle too low'. No further errors have logged on the system.
I have pulled the fuses for the compressor and airmatic relay and turned the car over and put them back in again to see if it would flag any other errors but nothing. Has anyone else had a similar issue and any pointers on where / what to do next. Would replacing the fuses be a possible solution or could it be the compressor failing or the controller / sensor / relay unit?
Thanks in advance,
Paul
Ah, forgot to tell you, that the W205 is sophisticated machine where all is recorded. If you login with XENTRY or after market tools, I am sure you will see the errors in regards to the air issue.
