Hi everyone,

The command screen will not turn on but the radio and bluetooth still works. However the reverse camera doesnt turn on.

I tried to restart the command screen holding onto the volume button that used to sometimes work the first few times when the screen was blank when the car was turned on. Now the screen will not turn on even after I hold onto the volume button for 10-15 seconds and longer.

Do you have any idea as to how to solve this? Im assuming its either a screen problem or requires a software update. Thanks

 

Did you try resetting it by pushing the cd button for 10 seconds?

 

Yeah that didnt work. For some reason it turned back on after I changed the fuses after the cut shut off. Could it be because the car battery is low?

From what I read is that the Command errors are linked to the hard drive and another guy changed the hard drive to SSD and it solved all the his problem. I have my SSD but have not installed it yet but my command seems to know I have it and has not given me any more problems. But if it does, I will be converting my MB hard drive to an SSD.

 

This is likely caused by the defect of painted GND that has become marginal. In the early stage modules are not defective until undersized capacitors get overheated.

Confirm that with a chassis scan. Low voltage will be noted.

 

Can a normal OBD scanner do a chassis scan for low voltage? Also do you have a recommendation for a OBS scanner?

I suspect this is the issue as I did not drive the car much over a week and the screen has fails to turn on again while the sideview mirror fails to go down on reverse. Thanks

It unfortunately takes 2 weeks to get a Launch Creader. I took the car to where the battery was changed and it came up with this error. Is this a poor ground problem you reckon?

The battery test at 12.35v after 3hrs of a 4amp charger.



The autoelectrican I was referred to states it probably is the motherboard on the display side is playing up. Do you think this is the other cause if the screen sometimes turns on but doesnt turn on other times during start?

 

everything is screaming the display is bad yet I don't recall a replacement display being the fix. I could be wrong.

So I would directly connect your scanner to chat with display module. This will confirm condition in more than one way.
The DTC message does not say to "replace display" so we go ahead and test display instead of rolling the dice.
