Alright guys I messed up, smh I always do my oil change my self and get the recommended 0w-40
and today I screwed up and put 5w-40. What do you guys recommend? Do you think it will hurt the vehicle this one time?
I change oil every 5k miles and I live in Fl. I keep reading mix reviews that the oil I used 5w-40 is fine just don’t make it a habit. Any insight would be great thanks guys.

Agreed, you're totally fine. No worries. The difference between 0-40 and 5-40 are somewhat negligible.
In fact, I think you screwed up in the right direction, lol. I'm in Florida and I run 5-40 because between the two, zero weight is suited towards better flow in low temperatures and 5 weight is suited more towards higher temperatures, like Florida.
I say you did the right thing!
Also no need to worry about mixing these weights because they are so close in specs.

You are okay.. our engine - V6 Turbos use both 0-40 and 5-40.. Winter is 0-40 and Summer is 5-40.
From what I read, the engine will be okay unless you have express cold.
Edit to fix the information

Don't worry, you will still be okay. If you look in the service good, you will see that you can also use that rating which is not to far off the 0-40 ratings.

This is probably an honest mistake, but I want to clear it up for others that may come across this. It's actually the other way around.
0-40 is more suitable for colder climates.
5-40 is more suitable for warmer climates.
But as said, it's not all that crucial unless you are running at great extremes with heavy duty cycles.
