Hi Benz friends I just got a c400 2015 with 140,000km on it (this model has the airmatic suspension system)
Immediately started receiving a malfunction message as shown a couple days after getting the car. Took the car up on a lift and pictured the rear left suspension as shown. Anyone know what’s going on here? Does the whole strut and everything need to be replaced? The rear left side is sagging as you can imagine.
Also, the rear right suspension is leaking but seems to be functioning properly. What would the course of action be for that side? Would greatly appreciate some input from your experiences.
Extra info: Compressor is working fine at the moment, and front suspension is all good.
You should have purchase this directly from Dealership as they would have looked into this as part of the Pre-Sale but anyways... if there is a problem and from the age of the system, you may need to replace the rear on both sides. You can also disconnect the battery for 15 minutes with the keys at least 2 meters away from the car. This will allow all the modules to go right to sleep and wake up once plug the battery back in.
Any idea what needs to be replaced? is it the strut or shock absorber? I got it from a used car dealership actually. Looks like I've been had pretty good haha haven't even had the car for a week.
Did you purchase any extended warranty? IF not, you will need to replace the bags since your car does not have springs and the bags are a replacement of the shock absorber.
