Hello! I have a serious problem with the HERMES module, or at least I suspect so, as it seems to be overheating. It’s hard to determine exactly, but that’s probably the issue.
The problem is that if the car sits in the sun for a few hours, let's say above 25 degrees Celsius, an error message appears on the dashboard saying "SOS not active" and the vehicle location icon disappears from the multimedia screen in the corner, indicating some connectivity issue.
The problem disappears after a while, but then it reappears, which is very annoying during driving. I should add that this issue does not occur in winter when temperatures are below 18 degrees Celsius (while driving). Mercedes service is at a loss; they only updated the module’s software, but it didn’t change anything. Do you have any advice?
Video below, thanks in advance !
