Nedd scanning tool. Check engine light is on.
The CEL just went on on my wife's 2017 c-300, soon after she got gas. Always use premium gas. Only 25,000 miles. Driven all the time but few miles. It is way over the maintenance schedule by about 6 months but within the mileage required. Dealer maintaines but now that warranty has expired we take it to a local MBZ mechanic. I removed the gas cap and put it on again, thinking that may be the problem. Car runs fine otherwise. How do I clear the CEL message? What's a reliable scanner tool to get? We are not mechanically inclined AT ALL.
