So I purchased a used 2017 c300 and I can’t get the push to start to work. The key works fine when you remove the button and insert the key. I have replaced the fob battery and still no luck, anyone know what the issue might be? I did swap the engine but the push to start wasn’t working prior to that either.

 

If the car has this function, maybe the keyless antenna behind the central console is not connected
