hey all,
as the title suggests, is there a way to stop this from happening? it's rather annoying as a tall person to get into the front seat after it's been moved all the way forwards.
2015 S205 if that matters.
cheers

It is normal as it is a courtesy feature when you lower the seat, moving it forward allows it to fold flat (I guess it is an MB or German thing), and no you can't stop it other than manually adjusting it back to where you were. Originally Posted by nnickbryant

I just read about this feature in my manual. It does this to allow enough space for the rear set and headrest to fold down without being blocked by the front seat. My way of dealing with it is to press the button for my personalized seat setting which moves the seat back to my favored position. There may be a way to disable it but I think it's a good feature so I just work around it as described. Originally Posted by nnickbryant
