The C400 should have come with LED tail lights, I dont think there is a bulb you can just replace.
You will need a new light assembly, which is a little pricy, but aftermarket OE options are available.
Removing the tail lights are not difficult, it may be easier to access and "see" that clip once removed.

I just realized it's LED but not very powerful and not upgradable like the W204. I was attempting to improve light for backup camera due to very grainy image! It's looks like it's snowing.
I presume it's life is near the end with age and temps.. I think I'm going to replace with 2229054509. Guys says it's new.

Consider brighter plate lights as well I guess... ?
