Reverse Camera Opens and Closes
Hi all, I recently bought a 2014 C200 (W205) and was thinking to myself "best car I've owned". Then the reverse camera stopped working 
When I put it in reverse, the camera pops out and then retracts instantly, so there is power. There is no change in the infotainment screen when put in reverse but the white reverse lights do come on and the side mirror does dip. I checked the fuse in the boot for the camera which isn't blown and the wiring to the camera has no frays when I opened up the lining to check. If it helps, I did wash my car and it stopped working since then.
What could be causing it? Any help would be appreciated.

2018 C300 (w205, m274, 725) and 1995 Ford Bronco (5.8 Windsor)
Former Benz tech here. First question: do you have a license plate frame? Theres very little clearance between the license plate frame placement and the back up camera. It could also be a calibration issue and you wont always get a message on the dash for the camera. Let me know so I can better help.
