Not trying to be disrespectful, but if you have a minute could you please explain the cost? The reason I ask is because my wife's Volvo XC90's kit was $149 & this one is over 5x the cost. I'm sure there is a rational for cost difference as you guys are a good, well reviewed business, but if you could shed some light on this it would be appreciated. If not 100% no worries - thank you!

 

No disrespect taken! I'm happy to explain. The Volvo SKSXC that you purchased is allowing you to use the factory remote start from the factory key as opposed to subscribing to Volvo's on call service, which is the OEM method for remote start capabilities. The SKSXC does not add remote start capabilities to Volvo vehicles that are not equipped with OEM remote start. In addition, there are far less components used in the SKSXC than the SmartKey Starter for Mercedes Benz.
