Hi everyone, recently I got this code P052E71 - "positive crankcase ventilation regulator valve performance actuator stuck" when I diagnosed my car. My question is should I change the PCV valve only or it would be advised to also change the Oil Separator? I know that the whole PCV system is a lot more expensive, and I saw that most people only changed the valve, but I'm afraid that if I only change that one, if it was those impurities that clog the valve, it would come back.

I'm at 181700 km (112903 miles) right now.

 

In canada I received z letter from mercedes that the garanty on this part has been extended to years. mine has been change twice at dealer with no fees and now I got the same error code again

 

In the USA and Canada this issue has extended warranty up to 150k miles. But Mercedes Benz is no longer replacing the hose. They are doing a software update, unplugging the valve and capping the connector.
