For the last few months I’ve been running into a rather troublesome issue with my 2017 c350e.
When the car is fully warmed up and after a little bit of driving my dash will start to spasm out, lights start to show up and my instrument cluster basically shut off and on. Then it would start displaying every single error you could imagine. And then followed by the infotainment going on and off. When I come to a full stop the car would shut off itself and won’t be able to start again until the car cools down or disconnect the 12v battery (this only buys me a a couple of minutes then it starts all over again)
what I’ve done so far:
- changed 12v battery
- brought to a Mercedes independent (work done to car is attached) and basically check all wires and couldn’t find the issue.
- Installed CarPlay via those boxes so unplugged that and was still doing the same thing
- have ambient lightening installed by someone but ye said it’s getting its power from old ambients so should be unrelated to any can errors
im starting to guess that either I have a bad instrument cluster or driver side sam but want to try confirm it.
im get 50+ “Message missing errors” and nothing definitive in any error code reading either from normal OBD scanner and from independents Xentry scan.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, really starting to lose hope in the car and I’ve only had it for 6months.
many other error code images available if needed.

I’ve brought it to a merc indi, and they check all the bus bars and wiring under the passenger and driver side footwell. In the video it was just showing the symptoms.
unsure if they’ve checked any voltage. I jumped to water corrosion in that area. But it’s starting to look like water corrosion in fsam or just a bad sam

the bus bars don't need to be checked... it's for troubleshooting your network until you can identify what's tanking the network.
You need to be able to make progress, right?
your tablet tool should be of great help...
Get a comprehensive report so your issue can start making sense.

The mechanic gave me a in depth report that used xentry, about 26 pages of it. But even they couldn’t figure it out
here is what they’ve done and looked for

Given the MB specialist was left clueless using Xentry... I guess you can feed the 26 page report into AI to gain insight for free.
The only thing specialist found was coolant pump wires being corroded...
This does not explain XMasTree activities. Low voltage usually in charge of CAN disruptions.
