well we know all the mercedez-benz models for the W206. big shock only 4 cilinder engines in both benz and AMG!
models are 180d, 200d, 220d, 300d, 180, 200, 350
the AMG models will feature the 63 and 63S but it is not sure yet if we will see a 43 or if it will be a 53 model (i think 53 as it will be with EQ boost)
a modified engine we know already from the A/CLA45 will be used and the top model should boost some 20hp more then the current 63S model

According to this German blog https://jesmb.de/1880/ .....the C53 will get the M139 engine at around 388 HP but it will not be hand built in Affalterbach. It probably will be built alongside series production engines in Kölleda.

 

The C 43 and C 53 AMG engines have never been hand built. Only the C 63 AMG engines are hand built.

 

That is correct. I only referred to that point due to the fact that the M139 is currently hand built in Affalterbach for the CLA/A 45 AMG's. But now rumor is that the W206 C43 will not get the M139 but get an enhanced M254 (replacement for the M264) with an electric turbo. The W206 C63e with get the hand built M139 with hybrid assist.

 

Once again, the C43 never had the hand built engine and will never have the hand built engine. Only the C63 has and will ever have the hand built engine.

 

I NEVER said the C43 had a hand built engine.... if you READ what I said ...I clearly stated it was "considered"....

 

Sorry but your post wasn't real clear. I wouldn't be too worried about it anyhow. In the not too distant future, cars will be running on hydrogen as my engineer father envisioned when I was growing up.

 

To clarify, only the 63's are handbuilt. 43's and 53's were never handbuilt and thus diluted AMG's.
