Definitely rare to have a 2023 with Lunar blue.

I’m just so sick of grey-scale cars. I don’t need my daily driver to be “look-at-me” different from all the other cars on the road, but a dark blue is different enough to stand out but not too much so that it can’t slip under the radar.
I agree completely. Granted, my SLK is Pewter and the C230 is Silver. My 190E 2.3-16 was Blue-Black, and the wife's 190E 2.6 was Black over Saddle. Two other cars have been gray, two white, one blue, and one brown. But this time we wanted something a bit more distinctive, and the deep blue is just so elegant. And yes, it's impossible to keep clean for more than about thirty minutes at a time. I'll just be keeping my local Griot's Garage supplier in business all by myself, I guess!

2023 GLC300 4Matic SUV
10 days ago I ordered a 2023 GLC 300 4Matic SUV. It’s Nautical Blue Metallic w/Brown Nappa Leather. I ordered the Pinnacle Line, AMG Line, Driver Assistance Package, Panoramic Sunroof and heated steering wheel. The total MSRP is $64,755. The best guess for delivery at this point is mid to late July. I’m trading in a 2022 GLC 300 4Matic SUV with about $5,500 worth of options. I had the opportunity to order a 2024, but it seems to me I would pay more for their’s and get less than mine. Given that the 2023 and 2024 will be exactly the same it just didn’t seem to make sense. Another factor was that the 2024 wouldn’t be delivered until October at best.

We were initially told that the build date would be Nov. 1, 2022 but that slipped to Nov.14. The car left East London on Jan. 3, 2023 and we took delivery on Feb. 10. We were a little surprised that we got a 4Matic car; we had ordered RWD but MBUSA in its infinite wisdom does not ship RWD cars to the Pacific Northwest. The car was a bit more expensive as a result, but oh well. Ours had the Burmester, Ventilated Seats, and Hands-Free access deleted due to chip shortage, but we got navigation, Distronic, acoustic glass, and the advanced USB package all fitted. Given that 890 Lunar Blue was deleted from the color choices as of December our car could only have been produced during the month of November. I have to wonder how many other cars left the line in 890/294 colors with the Night package during the only month that such a combination could possibly have been built.
Why is there only one month where that combination was available?

It wasn't. It had been available for the entire MY23 - any car locked in as Lunar would have been produced with lunar. It was removed but cars were specced as continued to be produced.

Yeah, I was curious what OP was thinking and to hear their reasoning - they are mistaken there.

Perhaps, but if the color was dropped in December of 2022 for MY2023 production, wouldn't it follow that only cars specified as Lunar Blue and entered into the production queue prior to December would be produced with Lunar blue? Once the color is dropped, even if the consumer-facing online configurator hasn't been updated, the dealer would in theory not be able to order a customer's car in that color because the production order software wouldn't let them. I presume that the actual order software would be updated long before the online configurator is. If that's so, only firm orders place before the color change in December 2022 would be locked in as Lunar blue. And since production began in November, as I understand it (that's that sales staff said was the MY2023 production start date), it would seem that it was only available for one month until the color palette was finalized. Or am I missing something here?

Nautical Top:Lunar Bottom

Depending on the sunlight I’m pretty hard pressed to tell the difference. But I’m a MB newbie 😊

The nautical blue looks to me to be a little darker than the lunar blue. The nautical blue looks a little closer to the midnight blue that my W201 is which is the great, great, great grandfather to the W206. At any rate the OPs color combination is a rare color combination historically for MB. For the year my W201 was built, the midnight blue was only about 10% of the W201s built for the year. The midnight blue/palomino interior combination is even rarer. It's a great color combination.

While it may just be different sunlight conditions, I agree the Nautical may be a tad darker. Even so I’m thinking it will look great with the brown Nappa leather in the 2023 GLC I just ordered 😊

I agree. It's a stunning color combination and it should look great.

Hey y’all

for those asking about Burmester and order timelines. I just picked mine up on Friday.

I placed my order for pinnacle trim on Dec 6. Finally arrived May 20. Dealer had one on order but still able to adjust options so they gave me that one.

I can also confirm I do have Burmester stereo. The only option that was still not available is the hands free trunk. Otherwise digital lights, stereo, USB package everything else was available.

Good to hear basically everything is intact.

Do we know what engine the 450E will be equipped with? m264 or m274?
Also does anyone know how long the phev battery warranty would be cover?

If for W206, it should be the M254.
Battery warranty varies by country, in the USA and in some States, there are 8 year warranties or (?? miles) forgot the mileage

The 450E is for the W214 E class which is an entirely different MB model from the W206 C class. The order guide for this thread is for the W206 C class only. The new W214 E class hasn't gone on sale yet in the U.S. and is also a different forum section since it's a different MB model.

Didn't occur to me they were talking about an E-Class, my bad. In that case, what you said is more applicable and 450 likely uses an M256 inline-6 instead of the M254 inline-4.
