LEATHER VS MB-TEX - Anyone have leather?
Tried to order my car this morning, but appears their system is still not functioning correctly. Does anyone have the leather (not nappa) option rather than standard MB-Tex? Is there a leather scent? Thanks for your help? It’s the only option I’m waffling. I decided against the Pinnacle only because the heads-up box in front of driver seems distracting because of the size & more because it is angled due to limited dash depth. Thanks.

you are welcome. I had cranberry red leather seats in 2019 C300 and those seats were hard as a rock when I first got the car. The 2022 seats are much nicer in my opinion and don’t hurt my back like my 2019 did until the seat was broken in. I am pleased with the red/black combo seats in my 2022. I have it with polar white and I wouldn’t have wanted to get the polar white without the red/black leather seats cause they make the car look gorgeous!!
let me know if you have any other questions.

I was able to sit on MB Tex and felt it was nice. I ordered Nappa however as that was the only way to get Sienna brown seats that's not two tone with the AMG package. If they had the option for MB tex Sienna Brown with AMG package I would have ordered that.

I’ve never felt real leather (or nappa) in the new C but the MB-Tex feels very convincing to me, and in my 8 year old E, it’s worn very well and doesn’t have that oil stained look leather gets. Still looks new.
However, based on my experience in other MBs, such as the A Class, E, GLE, and previous generation C, the leather actually feels less plush and nice to me, has similar graining, and is quite stiff. The nappa makes a big difference but I actually prefer how the MB-Tex feels over the leather, with it’s soft suppleness. It’s quite plush in a way nappa leather is but the regular leather isn’t. Regular leather would be my last choice in this car. Only reasons to get it used to be to get ventilated seats, and now just to get the red interior. I’d go nappa if I could find one, or I’d stick with MB-Tex personally.

Thank you for that insight Benjamin. That is very helpful. I was happy with the mb-Tex in my last c300, first time with that material. Your experience has helped me make the decision.
