This doesn't make any sense. I understand couple of weeks difference in between orders, not 3 months delay or more.

Early July'22 order here, Georgia. Still waiting on ours as well. Our sales rep recently texted us to say that since we had purchased nearly every option it was taking longer. Sounds fishy. Nevertheless, we wait.

I ordered mine in early August 2022 and the dealership associate couple of weeks ago confirmed my '23 C Class Pinnacle trim would be built by the end of January 2023 and most likely will be delivered by the end of February.

Did the rep say if the car was already built? If it is just waiting for shipping then you can get a better idea of an ETA. Although nothing is guaranteed these days.

Why do you figure they wont share that information with you? I imagine many people love to track their builds as they ship. Did they at least give you your VIN so you could decode it and confirm you got the DA6 package?? I don't care if I can't track mine through shipping but I do want that VIN asap so I can confirm the 3D audio made it in!

Nice! Congrats on locking in the 3D surround sound. Mine was scheduled to start production today so hopefully I’m similarly lucky. The last update to the ordering guide says the chip shortage has been resolved so hopefully that holds true in my case as well!

Isn't it great to have that worry off your shoulders? Mine was scheduled for production yesterday so I'm thinking maybe by Monday or Tuesday I'll text my salesperson and see if they can confirm if production wasn't delayed again (it was delayed back on November 1 to February 1) and see if they have a VIN.

Got confirmation today my car is in production and has a VIN. MB.VIN doesn't seem to be working today but I did also receive the final build sheet to confirm Burmester 3D, advanced USB and the wireless charging pad all made it into the final build. Looks like more and more are getting the 3D audio included. I'm told it will be here early next month.

That would be the best bet.
Assuming our cars go to Europe first and get on a different cargo headed to US, I've been keeping an eye on the port of East London via https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais...y=South-Africa, and so far only one vehicle cargo directed to East Asia stopped last week (Morning Lucy). There should be two more arriving in the next couple of weeks (Glovis Cosmos and Mignon) but you can only see the last port call, not their future route, so one can only guess where they are directed to.
Wallenius Wilhelmsen only have routes going east of SA, so the link I posted earlier in a different thread is only useful for cargos coming from Europe (I don't believe our cars go east and come to US via Panama).
So yes, the best source of information would be the sales person. He would know if the car has shipped and the name of the vessel. Once you have it, it is easy to track.

We just took delivery of our 2023 C300 4Matic with Exclusive trim and AMG Night package. last Friday. Burmester was supposed to be on our car, but it isn't listed on the build sheet with the VIN and our speaker grilles are black. Neither is hands-free access, for which we got a credit. Ventilated seats got dropped, too. Sales staff has no idea why, other than chip shortages. That said, the sound system is fabulous and we got the colors (Lunar Blue/Sienna Brown), leather, and other options that we wanted. Never did find out which ship our car was on. We ordered the car last August, and it was scheduled for a mid-November build. On Jan. 3rd we were informed that it was on the water, and on Feb. 3rd that it had arrived at the dealership.

They resumed installing Burmester and usb packages on later December production, vin numbers after 104000.
Very few units in earlier productions my2023 had them installed due to chip shortage.

Figures. Our VIN number is 101459. Turns out that only part of the Exclusive trim line equipment is actually being fitted. Pricing was affected by the chip shortage since the entire trim package can't be fitted. Our window sticker shows DX1 Exclusive Line as a N/C option, but things supposedly within that package are listed as individual line items: U25 Illuminated Door Sills for $150, DA3 Parking Package for $1000, and 894 Enhanced Ambient lighting for $250. No Burmester from the Eclusive line, no separately specified ventilated seats. Even the AMG Night package came with the D10 body color spoiler as a $350 line item, so the website (which admittedly only builds a 2022 model) is incorrect showing the spoiler as included. Had I known it would not be included in the package, I would have passed on D10 as a separate line item. We wound up spending more than we had initially budgeted for as a result of MBUSA's allocation policy. We ordered the car as RWD, because as former autocrossers we know how to drive and found our older RWD C230 handles snow with aplomb on proper winter tires. But we live in Oregon, and MBUSA ships no RWD cars here anymore, only 4Matic. Yeah, I get that many people want the crutch of AWD so that drives marketing decisions. But I would have been happier without the fuel economy and weight penalty of the 4Matic hardware.
