DA6 Sound Package is available for a new order?
I read some posts here that MB removes some key packages (DA6 Sound package) without any consents.
I am currently thinking of placing a custom order because of literally there is no new c-class that has DA6 sound package available in my state ...
If I place a new order, then MB removes DA6 Sound Package without my consent... it will be a nightmare for me, losing my deposit and time.

I ordered a 2023 with the DA6 added into the system but it was later on removed despite it being on the build sheet. I would be careful.
Also for my dealership the deposit is refundable but I’m unsure about your case.

VIN was created and when I decoded it on mb.vin everything was on it except for DA6 and 810(another code for burmester). The build sheet isn’t always absolute and the factory can and will take stuff off your build. You can call the dealer but they will only know so much. I had to do a lot of the research myself. I ordered mine in February btw.

it was actually for a 2022 so I was hoping I would have more luck getting burmester but it was pushed to a 2023 and my car hasn’t been manufactured yet. I cancelled my order since it didn’t have burmester and I couldn’t get any more updates on it now.

I just order one with DA6. Hope MB won't change the build without my consent.
My dealer told me that the only thing not currently available on the system is 871 hand free access.

Not to make you feel bad but I have seen many orders like yours showing Burmester and then it gets removed. If I were you, I would analyze your order/purchase assuming Burmester is not there. Mine probably won’t have it but I am buying it anyway. In these days, having the option to buy a new car is nice. Having the option to buy a new Mercedes… we can’t complain.

Just received a message from my dealership where I ordered a 2023 model last August.
Here's our exchange:
"Your C300 is in production currently. Estimated production date mid January 2023"
"Could you tell me if all the option boxes are checked? Making sure I will get the burmester"
"Order was submitted with all the options you selected. We will be able to check on all the options when production is almost done"

Not being able to sleep tonight after a trip overseas, I spent the past hour checking 2023 listings on cars.com
Information on listings is scarce, and by saying that I mean they don’t specify the trim, even though one could assume one car could be a pinnacle if the price is higher than $55k.
there are about 1100-1200 ‘23 cars on sale at this moment in US. Very few listings with real pictures, maybe less than 80 listings.
Out of those 80 listings with pictures no 2023 model appear to have burmester installed.
Not even one.
Several pinnacle trims (head up display showing on pictures) and no silver covers on speakers.
the even fewer cars with pictures of the vin plate all say production date 9/22. Hopefully later production will bring some burmester back.

I don’t think DA6 has begun production yet or only just on US spec 300s. So you can see them in build sheets of incoming cars that are in production right now. But none have been shipped yet.
You can tell a lot by the vin number. 2023s starts at 67000 or so. Vehicles around 95000-100000 are in production now and starting to get DA6.

This is a new one for me. I feel like they are probably going to put in the mid-range system if it’s from the factory. You’ll most likely end up with two mid-bass woofers in the firewall instead of 1 in the stock system along with tweeters and a 400 watt amp. I’ve heard decent things about this system with the main downside that it’s not very loud. I’m surprised they were able to option it in since it’s not available in the US. If you want more though then that mid-range system will be a good baseline for upgrading the amp/dsp and maybe an extra sub in the trunk if you’re into that.

But you cannot add an option that it's supposed to be there to start with.
