AMG Stuff
What is "sport suspension" and "sport steering system" on the AMG Line option?? I know it has different steering wheel and pedals and wheels etc. etc.
Also the cabriolet models seem to come with the upgraded sound system. If it is Bur. Surround Sound on the convertible, is there any reason to check further?
These cabs are rare as can be. My wife has found one she likes. It is a new 2022 in her favorite color scheme. The late model year USED ones are selling VERY close to what a brand new 2022 that is still on the showroom has for MSRP. Crazy times in the car business.

Sport suspension is a part of the AMG Line Package. It is exactly that, a stiffer, sportier suspension setup. The sport steering wheel is a thicker, flat bottomed steering wheel that also comes along with the AMG Line Package.
Burmester Surround Sound System is the standard for the C-Class Cabriolet.
The run of 2023 Cabs is very small. We just received ours and it is known that it will be the last one.

Hey Cincy...
She is thinking of owning it instead of the SL. The SL has been a fun great car, but she has had a knee replacement. I love the SL but have a limit on cars that we can garage.
We test drove used C 300 cab. and she likes getting in and out of it a lot better. There were no new ones in our state or even nearby. Our lical MB dealer said a dealer swap was impossible for him to do for a convertible. Also, the SL is about to run out of its extended warranty and I am OK with her moving on from it. It is her call. Happy wife, happy wife.
Any words of wisdom?? I know that you know these things inside out. My local dealer cannot get one. Will this be an OK car for her?

The ingress and egress will be much easier for her than it is in the SL. It won't have the same power but by no means is it lacking for most drivers.
Your local dealer is correct, with inventory shortages they won't have anything to give back to make a trade happen. But if you're shopping outside of the area, as of yesterday we have one available!

Yes, she said it did not hurt her knee and the SL did. We spent a week in the SL in the mountains. At some time during the day, she would say that she had driven the SL three years and she was getting ready for something different. It was hurting her knee every entrance and exit ... every time. I think it was combination of the low car, the seat construction, the side supports and semi bucket feel..... and her knee surgery.
We stopped at a MB dealer and she drove a used C cab and said it was easy to get out of and she liked the little car and wanted to stay with a convertible... so..... I looked at your cab and the red interior is a no go. It is pretty, but just not for us. Thank you.

We bought the cabriolet. It had the AMG Line option. These are aluminum on our cab model. The Burmeister sound system controls are there and WHAT A SOUND. WOW. WOW.
We are loving this car. We have not had a brand new car in many years - bought demos or late model used. Our car is a brand new 2022 cabriolet. These convertibles are hard to find - especially if you are looking for specific things.
Love the AMG Line add ... love the steering wheel, reminds me of our SL steering wheel. Love the black wheels too. And look at the cool floor mats.
This is a fun little car.

I like that steering wheel. Too bad it did not come on the AMG Line package with the car. But I am OK with the one we have. I like the flat bottom and it is thicker and feels different with the shape for your hand.
I could care less about an AMG motor, but the AMG adds are something I like because I like the style and design. I like the pedals, the floor mats, the wheels I really like a lot, the tires, the steering wheel.... just a lot of little things the option adds. We also have a CLK 550 with the AMG Line add and it is the same way and the style/design has stood the test of time.
