I've noticed that most of the time (80-90%) when locking the car by touching the exterior door handle I must touch it twice before the car actually locks. I thought perhaps something might be wrong with the driver's door handle, but when locking the car using the handle of another door it too requires two touches. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Was there a solution? Thanks!

I have the same experience, unfortunately. Sometimes it helps by keeping your finger a little longer on the sensor. Of course, Merc should (but probably will not) fix this.

Yes, it's not immediately ready to be locked somehow. It can be locked with one touch if your will wait couple of seconds after door is closed.

I haven't experienced this, but make sure your hand isn't behind the handle as you try to lock it. It will think you're trying to unlock the car.

I’ll try this out next time. I tried my other key today to see if that made a difference but it didn’t. My prior MB (2013) had keyless go and it worked well - locked on the first touch each time.

It's not just you. My experience as well. I've never had an issue with any of my past (6) Keyless Go equipped vehicles, all the way back to MY2012

Mine does that too. My wife's 2022 GLE350 works great, just a soft touch and it's locked. I was about to ask the dealership if there's anything that can be done.

Thanks for this suggestion! This past week I've been waiting a couple of seconds after closing the doors before attempting tobtouch the door handle to lock it. Now it seems to lock on the first touch every time.

Have you tried "swiping" the door handle, instead of just touching? A horizontal swipe locks mine every time...
