Digital Light, missing menu options
My car has welcome animation,
it also projects lane changes, lane drifting, and pinpoints pedestrian at night.
does not project the incoming stop sign triangle or red light and does not project lane thickness in area with road work. I believe the lack of those is due to the fact there isn’t a road signal recognition available in the US other than posted speed limits

Hi, I don't have it.
The only thing I have is the windows sticker and it just says DA4.
I just requested to the dealer if they can forward it to mee.
If the reply and send it to me I'll be sure to provide all the info.
Cheers

I had not noticed that. Definitely interesting - it might just be because we have the amber in that same location in the US. I hope it's not functional and it would clash pretty bad with the amber marker and the blue next to each other.
With digital light for regular driving... I.e. When it automatically goes from normal beam to high beam, concerning lights automatically, lighting the whole road except for oncoming cars or the car infront etc etc... Do you need any special setting or do you just leave the light dial on auto and then have the white high beam assist auto symbol on your dashboard and it does everything automatically?

Thanks. I got confused by that setting when I first saw it as it said left or right hand traffic. I just put it to automatic... I think that's right
Digital Lights
I have a 2022 C 300 e with 317 (Digital Light - left side) but without 30U, 41U or 42U.
1. Has anyone had 30U, 41U, 42U retrofitted? Is this possible? What is then required to 'switch on' the projection features of Digital Lights?
2. After a software update attempting (unsuccessfully) to rectify a randomly appearing engine warning light, the spotlight menu item disappeared from the Digital Light settings menu. (This does not particularly worry me as I have never come across a pedestrian on the motorway at night.)

I think I owe people a bit of a "follow up".
My car has been at the dealer several times since I started the thread. Every time the dealer has tried coding the car in different ways to get the Digital Lights or rather their extra functionality to work, and they even brought in an expert from the other side of the country (not that Denmark is that big (: ) but to no avail.
The last information that my dealer was able to obtain is, that the headlamps in my car is a generation too old, to get symbols and warning to work. To me, this really makes absolutely no sense, seeing that at SOME point in their efforts to get everything working, they actually managed to get Digital Rain as an Welcome animation to work - so the headlamp is able to do animations, I am just stuck with that one animation, and no other functionality (other than the regular Dynamic lighting).
I have made my peace with the situation for now - knowing that not even Mercedes fully know what is going on with Digital Light

Greetings from a fellow Dane, LarsB.
Thanks for the update.
I am in the same boat as you; a fairly early production C300 with Digital Light, but only the 43U code in the options list.
Nothing else than unlock/lock animation available for me, and the dealership wants 1,400+ USD to unlock the 30U and 42U option codes, which you now confirm they would not have been able to anyway.
No thanks!
Happy that I was able to detect this using the 1 month free trial of the option in the Mercedes store. Cancelled almost immediately.
Did you get your payment for the unlock work back?
Thanks for the update.

I'm still not completely buying into their explanations, seeing the head lamp is capable of doing animations, but I have put so many hours into this now without any result, so I'm done
Some projections work without menu option
Hi all
Just picked up my 11/2022 V295 from the dealership.
One option I was really looking forward to, was the digital light with projection options. Therefor I was really spending hours looking for which option codes was required and what option codes mine had.
It is equipped with "318" headlights, "30U","42U","43U",Software, but no "PAX" package, probably since I have not the individualization package from the mercedes me store. I do also for extras have the "U19" Augmented Reality, but I think that only for the navigation part on the 12,8" screen.
My software is "RL_NTG7_E316.505"
So I also don't have the 4. line "Supporting projections" under DIGITAL LIGHT menu.
BUT! Same day I received the car I was driving in the evening, and a pedestrian crossed the road, and I got a projections light on the road with 4 circles following the pedestrian and a warning. So now I now it works with my car. However I don't have all other symbols.
I will be following up with the dealership next week, but I am not getting my hopes too high after reading what "LarsB" experienced. I am about to deepdive into finding someone wo can code it for me if that is what it takes.

At least your car has the right options on the hardware - 42U and 43U.
