My C220d arrived this week without wireless charging due to chips shortage, so I've opted to place an Apple MagSafe charger in the bay, connect it to the USB-C port, and attach it via double-sided adhesive to the bay floor so it won't move.
Since the car has wireless CarPlay, it doesn't matter that the charger takes up the only USB-C port my car came with.
The advantages of Apple's MagSafe charger over others are:
* It's very flat, so it doesn't get in the way when putting in/taking out the phone.
* It is magnetic, so it perfectly aligns the charging area on the back of the iPhone with the charger, and holds the phone securely while driving. In case you have an iPhone 11 or earlier (i.e. without MagSafe) or an Android smartphone, you can buy a case that includes MagSafe or attach an adhesive magnetic ring to your case.
* Being the official Apple charger, it charges iPhones faster than other standard wireless chargers (15W vs. 7.5W or less). In my tests, with CarPlay running with Google Maps and streaming music, my iPhone 14 Pro's charge increases by about 15 percentage points every half hour (e.g., 55% to 70% in 30 mins).
The downside of Apple's MagSafe charger is that the cable is white and attached to the body (not replaceable), so it doesn't go as unnoticed as if it were black.
NOTE: The MagSafe charger is also suitable for non-iPhone phones.
