2023 C300 Pricing

Around how much are base C300 4Matic cars that are on the lot going for right now relative to MSRP? Are any dealers in the U.S. selling them below MSRP? I might be interested in purchasing one if it's 5k or so below MSRP, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get that in this environment.

Any advice would be appreciated.

You'll be lucky if you are able to purchase at — not above — MSRP

If you find a 2022 model you might be able to talk the price down with the dealer as 2023 models are starting to ship.

I think it depends where you go and what the situation is. I ended up lucking out, drove 3 hrs to a dealership to look at a 22 CPO, checked in with the dealer as I was driving in to make sure it was still available, and I had an appointment. I got to the dealership and they stalled around for an hour and a half before finally telling me it sold that morning. They mentioned they had one 2023 on the lot and I knew I had leverage at that point. Long story short ended up walking away with the 2023 for 5k under sticker.

How did you get them to do it 5k under MSRP? Mind sharing your tricks?

Honestly, as cliche as it sounds, don't show your hand lol. I had already ordered a 23 that was at that time being shipped to VPC, so I knew I had something to fall back on, albeit at full price (local dealer was originally unwilling to budge on MSRP price). I believe I lucked out for a few reasons, I was firm that if that price wasn't right I was prepared to walk (although I never let them know I already had one ordered). I think they felt bad because I drove 3 hours and they sold the car I was going to look at out from under me. It was also their last 23 C300 on the lot and 3 days before the end of the month, so they wanted the sale. I actually talked them into delivering it 3 hours away for free too, they initially said I had to cover cost of gas etc. and I told them I wasn't having it, so they delivered it for free lol. Ironically enough the original local dealer called me the day I was signing paperwork to tell me they could work on price a bit for my build haha. Location probably has a lot to do with it to, things are definitely more expensive where I live vs where I actually purchased the car. It might be worth checking out semi-local dealerships a few hours away in smaller/cheaper towns if possible to save some $$$.

I wouldn't purchase any Benz or any car right now until all this chipset bs is done. Why pay for a car with missing parts?

Ordered 2023 C300 4Matic
According to the October 22 update to the ordering guide the chipset shortages related to missing burmester 3D audio, inductive phone charger and advanced USB package have been resolved as of January 2023 production. As far as I know though, hands free trunk access is still missing though.

Well, when I look on the Mercedes site (Canada) it still has this notice on it that chipset it lacking so for me.. no go. They don't even show the New C43 AMG on the site yet as I think they are pushing the EQ's to make sure people have all the chips they need and any of the E53 to make sure those sell out before the next version comes to the market.

You can get it under MSRP. I just leased a 2023 C300 AMG package for a bit over 4k under MSRP in CA.

I purchased 2023 c300 with AMG look in mid Jan.
At that time, my local dealer was still asking the market adjustment, so I drove to 2 hour away dealership getting 5% discount on MSRP with cash purchase.
Since the car had some unwanted options installed, I was even able to negotiate on the phone before visiting.

The market has changed sharply since then, in favor of buyers.
I am getting calls from other dealerships that I inquired about 2023 c300 stocks earlier. All they are saying is that they will do their best to beat other offers.

so I am sure you can get up to 10% discount if you do a due diligence when you shop around.

Also my two cents on discounts.
You should get a better discount on MSRP if you finance or lease assuming the dealership gets some incentives from a third party.
But, any kind of further discount by financing/leasing will be reflected adversely somehow in other factors like interest rates/residual values or somewhere else. But this is a different topic that everyone has different opinions.

+1 Dealers are desperate to sell you their cars nowadays. Although the residual value doesn't change, money factor and interest rate, and sales price, all play a role in your payment if you lease/purchase.

I just purchased a new 2023 C300 for $3000 below MSRP. It took some searching but one large local dealer was willing to discount price. Car is ready to be shipped from VPC with expected delivery in one week. That was only about 6% off MSRP. All other dealers were pretty much at MSRP.

Yes due to interest interest rates being so high. That drives sales down.

2020 C300
I was just talking to my local dealer this weekend. By their experience it seems the car is just priced too high, or the lease is just too high. They are selling most of their new C300’s by moving them through the loaner program first. I would like one, but from the order guide I will wait until at least next year when the new lighting becomes available for ordering.

Minnesota. I suppose I should mention it was on their lot and not a build order. We were also planning on buying a different car, so we had leverage in negotiating as we had a backup plan.
