I didn’t go to my dealership though, I went to the one closer to my workplace. Will never go back there.
I see, all they are thinking of is when is their shift is over, hopefully your experience is better in a different dealership and/or going there a different day. Monday is usually busy, Friday they usually slack off. So Tuesday-Thursday appointments are ideal.

140k miles with my A7 and I’ve never seen that light, not even once.

I use to own audis and it was nothing but problems. Vowed to never get one again, so maybe it's just all comes down to chance.
Which is funny because the C 300 shouldn't have the drive unit (basically the two knobs on the steering wheel on the C 43 and C 63 S E Performance etc. but I am guessing the harness and wiring is there to save cost in production.
