Center console problems solved in recent models?

i was planning on custom ordering a C300 4matic sedan but reading the center console won't turn on thread has made me nervous. Is this problem still very relevant or has MB finally ironed out the kinks? I don't want to take the car to the dealer so many times! Very nervous as to what to do. Has anyone had any issues in recent models?

2023 C Class
I have a 2023 built in January and never had any problem. Now I’m at 5,600 miles.

I don't know what that thread is about, but I had a 2023 C300 loaner for two weeks recently, and MBUX was very buggy. Wireless CarPlay was unusable as it kept disconnecting and the whole system hung periodically just showing a blank blue background. A factory reset didn't improve things. It did seem to be an older version of the software compared to some posts and because loaners generally don't have Mercedes me activated, they are not getting any OTA updates, so some of these bugs may be fixed in the latest updates.

But we are definitely at the point where cars are being shipped with very buggy software and then OTA updates are supposed to fix it. This is exactly what I predicted is going to happen with OTA updates. It's an excuse for the manufacturers to ship half baked cars.

I second this, I took delivery of my 2022 C300 in June 2022 and I had so many problems with the infotainment system and CarPlay disconnecting. Several software updates later, including one at the dealer and it’s been flawless for me since last December.

You should be able to tell it a particular car has had the new software by looking at the skip track buttons, theyre larger after the latest update.

Another way is to check the actual software version.

Nice little touch to get the 'snow' theme on the interface.
