I just bought a new 2023 C300 Coupe. I'm trying to program the Homelink.

Garage door opener: Liftmaster 41A5389-1 w/ Orange programming button 08/02
Remote: 2 button 892LT, button 1 = gate, button 2 = garage door

1. I pressed button 1 & 3 on the mirror and held it down until the green light flashed
2. Held down button 2 until the yellow light flashed, released, yellow light kept flashing
3. Pressed & held button 2 on the remote
4. Light never turned green. I tried it in front of the mirror and behind of it.

I called up Homelink who claimed the 892LT can't program Homelink? Is that correct? I do recall these are replacement remotes that I cloned off the original many, many years ago. Not even sure how I would program the gate button if it can't read from the 892LT?

Thanks! FINALLY! Looks like the secret sauce is to press the Homelink and remote button at the same time. All the docs / videos I've seen say press & hold til it flashes then release.
