Opinions about zero layer

Hi everyone,

What do you think about zero layer?
I got it recently after MBUX 2.4 OTA update and I'm not sure yet if I like it or not. To have navigation as a home screen is nice in some situations but I don't like popup nature of all other screens.

The beauty thing is you can always switch back to what you want by holding the home key.
Just that now you have the new option.

The idea behind zero layer is good. It learns which functions you typically use and then puts them on the home screen, so you don't have to dive into the menus to get to them. That's the main benefit of the zero layer UX. It might not be immediately apparent, but after a while you should start seeing the functions you typically use appear on the home screen.

As far as having navigation as the home screen, that's how I've been rolling for a long time. It's usually the primary screen I have up in any car, so I can always see the traffic situation around me even if I'm not actively navigating. Combined with the traffic announcements that come on the speaker if I approach congestion or a traffic incidents, it's a great tool to get off my current route and use a familiar backroad. None of this requires active route guidance as this is always active in the background and it announces congestions etc. on the current road just in time to get off and bypass it.

It is under the system menu in MUBX, there is a screen for software version.

Hi everyone,

After experiencing both layouts for a while I have come to the conclusion that for me original layout is more convinient than zero layer. I mostly use steering wheel control to navigate MBUX and for this original layout is more suitable, IMHO.
