Our 2022 C-300 4matic partronic sensors weren't working. Had a sensor replaced under warranty. Things still weren't working so the dealer goes looking. Calls and mice have eaten the wiring harness, below the driver's seat!!! Here is the picture he sent me.

I live in an area where there are mice (and things that eat mice). The car is stored in a garage. My question is, how did the mice penetrate inside the car?

 

Easy. There are lots of small openings for them to get in. A common way is through the vent system. They use it as a tunnel to get from the engine compartment to the interior.

 

yes as said and when they get in and do what they did to yours it SUCKS and costs a bunch of money.
