I see, well, then I really don't know what it is, sorry. If a scanner doesn't pick up any codes then that is even more confusing.

Didn't do the highway drive but ran some errands and then measured and amps came down to 4.9V. So I Have a good battery for now. Does the factory warranty cover batteries for the first 4 years, for future reference?

Good to hear, that is a healthy battery and that current means the battery is almost fully charge.

It should.

Found this, ignore the high voltage battery part since that is for PHEV etc. https://www.mbusa.com/content/dam/mb...ty-booklet.pdf

If you go to page 13, you notice starter battery is not in the list of items not covered so that might mean it is covered under the 4 year or 50,000 miles basic warranty.

Well, that is an indication that the starter battery needs to be charged more through driving for like 60 minutes on the highway or tickle charged. It drains the battery every time you start the vehicle after all and if you don't drive enough to charge the amount beyond what is drained, the more you start it, the more you drain it.

Wait, except... I scrolled back up to read your post again and realized your amp is good though, Do you have parasitic drain? Is it that door module mentioned before?

I will have to research the door module issue. I failed to mention that I do have a Ring CarCam connected to the OBD port that stays active then eventually dies to save battery. I have had that for almost 2 years now. So, a combination of not enough driving + CarCam + an aging battery perhaps.

I see, did you consider a dashcam camera at all?

no need to do the research yourself, I got you covered : ) https://mbworld.org/forums/new-membe...ml#post9118476
The XENTRY TIPS document applies to the W206 as well, you need XENTRY to get this installed.

Once activated, does the Standby Mode remain on or would I have to fiddle with the menu each time I park?

Tried Standby mode again after driving with the battery amps at 3.5v, still wouldn't activate "Charge Insufficient to Activate Standby Mode". So at least in my case, this option is unusable unless I were to drive to the airport, where it could possibly work but unreliably.

That is strange, what is the starter battery voltage?

Ya let us know next time you check, it should be close to almost 15V but below that obviously (when engine running) with engine off, something like 12.86 or something.

As I have previously posted on this thread, voltage has always ben 14.8+ with engine running. I received the MSUX update recently and it has been my experience that initially it breaks more than it fixes. My driving habits have not changed in 25 years with all the cars listed in my signature, I have never had this issue or as many issues, except the first year S500. If the car has issues when not driven x miles or hours per drive then it is just a bad design.

Everything checks out, not sure why your standby mode is not working, might be a glitch in software, might need a service visit to fix.

I have battery issues as well, which have not been resolved yet. The last MBUX update improved things slightly. Anyway, I have to leave the car to the dealership, and I will do that when it will be convenient for me.
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ery-issue.html

In my case, the standby mode can be activated only after charging the battery with a charger/trickle charger. Then, there is a message that the battery will be depleted after 8 weeks. However, after just a week it is in critical condition.

Recently, there was another issue with a hood open warning for speeds higher than 130 km/h. It was resolved with a short visit to the dealership. Nevertheless, I was expecting more from Mercedes in terms of quality and reliability.

8 weeks is not good, I seen the battery lasting for 48+ weeks but on a different mb model in standby mode.
