I am seeing on some Googled sources that the disappearance of TuneIn from Internet Radio is a recently-introduced "feature" (bug) that there may be a Service Advisory for. Anyone have any more info?

 

Missing on my EQE. Dealers tech said, yes supposed to be some info on this from MB "soon"

Very poor customer PR to pull this. I hooked up Android Auto and can get Tunein, but you have to suffer through a minute of ads each time you select a new station.

MB was getting a feed from tunein without these pre-music ads and had to pay for it. No doubt, we will be asked to pay it when it comes back.

Or maybe it was an oops on the last software update and it takes time to fix.

Other than the annoying ads (which apparently I can remove with a direct subscription to tunein), the android auto works well.

 

Also disappeared from both my cars at the same time... it is the digital extra "internet radio" in the app which can no longer be switched on. However, the mercedes me store still lists it under the services you receive with your subscription. Every single one of my digital extras have the same expiration date next year, expect for the internet radio.

I believe a call to customer support is required as many users randomly lost the service. Too bad they are so unhelpful.

 

So here's the deal - my Internet Radio service expired - it had a "free trial period", apparently, so it expired 8/31/25. Now that particular Digital Extra is out-of-sync, date-wise, with the rest of my Extras, which expire 3/31/26. I had to renew all of them through 3/31/27 (except the Internet Radio is now good until 9/16/26). Note that "Global Search" was also part of that trial period, so also expires 9/16/26. A little irritating, really, but the car is a long-term keeper so not terribly irritating.

If we didn't use those features all the time I'd just let them be dead.

 

How is it possible for a single digital extra to expire with a different date than the rest of them? They all have the same length trial period and are renewed together with on subscription. More reason it sounds like a technical error on MB's end.

 

Agreed. I'm pursuing this angle with them - more info as I have it.

 

Looks like it's been restored today! I got a notification about digital extras being update and internet radio was enabled again. It has the same expiration date as the rest of my digital extras.
