Considering C300 from E320

Wife's car is 2005 E320, love the vehicle but time to consider something new. Looking at 1 or 2 year old CPO, demos or service loaners. Drove the usual suspects, found the A4 more peppy but harsher ride. Will probably get the Merc.
What should I look out for? How is the touch screen in winter, especially with gloves on? The car and side moulding seem low, does it scrape, especially in snowy conditions? Is the Burmester system worth the extra cost? Are people generally satisfied with the car?
TIA

C300
Love my 2024 C300. It was a loaner with 6K on it. I have the Burmeister and it's great. I'm in SoCal so no snow.

It will scraper in the front if the dip is deep enough, but as a rule, no issues with that. Touch screen is responsive. Do you have gloves that work with touch screens? If so, they should be fine.

2023 C300 and formerly 2006 e350 sedan
Hi,

Last year, I upgraded from a 2006 E350 to a 2023 CPO C300. I really LOVE the C! I wasn't even considering a C class and like you drove the Audi and some others including the E class but this car really was the best choice for me. The ride is smooth and fantastic. It's got some pep too.

I live in Southern California so no cold weather or gloves with the touch screen, but it functions great.
The stock sound system is terrible, make sure to get the Burmeister- that's my biggest and only regret.
I'd suggest getting one with the USB package so you have plenty of ports.
I also suggest paying for the digital extras, it sucks that some of the features are only offered via subscription but I use them regularly and it's worth the convenience.
I don't like having my phone in the console so I bought an aftermarket magnetic charger custom for the C300 that holds my phone between the drivers display and the center console. You can't even tell it's not part of the dash (slips over the drivers display).

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your response,

We ended buying a new 2025 with AMG package. It has the Burmester system which sounds amazing.
We haven't sold our e320 yet as we haven't had the time. I sometimes still take it out, and I gotta say, for a 20 year old car, it is still amazingly smooth and quiet.

I loved my E350 and wasn't thinking about a new car except for a cam shaft sensor warning. My mechanic said it was $1500 to pull the engine change the sensor but couldn't guarantee it would need a new cam shaft too, that would be even way more. Fortunately it still ran fine for months other than the annoying check engine light so I had ample time to shop.
