Enhanced (Vent) Ambient Lighting Installation Help
I know this question has come up a few times already, but I still haven't found a comprehensive video or pics for just the vents installation. I have a 2024 (W206) GLC300. The kit I bought on eBay has a CAN I need to connect, but I can't figure out where it's supposed to connect to.

Has anyone successfully installed on a 2024?

Hi! I think this will help you, the cable from the control box in the kit I believe will just hook into the ambient light cable of the drivers side footwell. Here is a video online, it's in German but you can turn on closed captions and set to English.

Yup, the retrofitted lights are actually daisy chained to the ambient light module in the passenger footwell. Therefore, you do not get the third additional lighting zone control in MBUX like you do with factory enhanced ambient lighting. Not a big deal, something to keep in mind though.

This is perfect! Thank you for sharing! ChatGPT insisted the footwell light wasn't the right port, but I just tested it and it looks like it works!

The additional zone would've been cool, but agreed that it's not the end of the world. I tested the footwell and it's working!

Good news! I have the vents sitting on my kitchen table and am just waiting for the other pieces (console) to show up before I install as well. Glad it's working for you! Darn chip shortage!
