I am never getting automatic updates

When it comes to nav maps and MBUX updates, car always reports "no updates". Although there are new updates I never got any. In dealership they are able to update MBUX manually, and I am able to update maps via USB manually. Even they don't know why is this happening. Car is now fully updated, but they charge extra if they do the (manual) update. It doesn't matter if car is connected to home or mobile WiFi.

Anyone has the same problem?

I hope you didn't pay for ur updates... all they do is plug in an ODB cable and launch XENTRY on the computer which scans for and updates everything automatically. I would raise the issue with mercedes customer support on their central line. Both on not receiving automatic updates and how the dealership charged you. Make sure you get a case number and continue to escalate every 1-2 weeks if no resolution is give. I'd also be curious see how many hours of labor they billed...

If you are under warranty, I would claim the touchscreen is unresponsive, glitches, or CarPlay drops and have updates covered under warranty. I know times are tough but it's gross how dealers will try to milk every last cent out of customers nowadays.

Thanks. Initially they placed an estimate of 100€ for the update (fixed price), but they actually didn't charge anything at the end. Maybe because car is still under warrant. It took them >8 hours to update MBUX (it was not updated for 2 years). They also updated transmission software etc. Pretty much everything except maps (I manually already updated them using USB).

In any case, a strange situation. Now they contacted Mercedes Germany for assistance regarding the whole situation because they cannot find the problem themselves.
