My W206 (2022) came with only a single USB-C port, and I use it for MP3. But, I would like to install an additional USB cable in a glovebox that I could use to charge my phone when necessary.
I was thinking to install a fuse tap on the right side of the vehicle and pull the cable to the glovebox. I found this website with fuse box locations and schemas: https://www.startmycar.com/mercedes-...anchorfusebox2
but before "venturing" further I would like to know if anyone here already did something like this and what fuses did you choose?

Thanks.
I would just get a cigarette lighter style adapter. I like the belkin one since it's help up for years and charges quickly. The cigarette lighter is tucked in under the glovebox.
If you don't need one with a USB-A port, there are also more compact ones that sit flush like this one. I have a similar one that came bundled with the MagSafe holder/charger I ordered from ProClip.
Also, if you do want it to be inside of the glovebox, ProClip also sells this. It's an additional 12V socket that you can wire to your fuse box, and then you can insert a 12V socket USB-C charger in it. Remember, just getting power into the glovebox doesn't do anything. You need the USB-PD charging circuits.

This one would be perfect if it also has a retractable USB cable. I will look for it.

Also, just thinking out loud here. Does your car not have wireless charging? I hardly ever charge my phone with a cable anymore. What phone do you have? In case of iPhones, MagSafe has made wireless charging a no-brainer. My wife's car is an older model without CarPlay and wireless charging, so I installed a mount/holder from ProClip. The phone holder is a MagSafe charger at the same time. No messing with cables. Just pop on the phone and it charges. I do have wireless charging in my car, but the wireless pad is no longer compatible with my iPhone 16 Pro, but whenever I drive a newer car such as a rental, most of them have wireless charging and I just place the phone on it if I need to charge it, or keep the battery from draining when using CarPlay. So, if your car doesn't have a built-in wireless charging pad, consider adding one with the cable tucked away. Ideally you have an iPhone with MagSafe, or one of the few Android phones that support Qi2 with the Magnetic Power Profile. I'm aware that Android phones are slow to adopt it.
EDIT: It turns out I don't have wireless charger in my car! I had no idea until I just checked it. All this time I thought I have it, but it is just an empty space to put the phone down during the drive...
