Battery for C 300 W 206
Hello All,
I am getting low battery message when I keep the car parked for longtime without using it, my C300 is 2023 manufactured, I believe it is time to change the Battery , my questions :
1- which brand and model is recommended?
2- will it affect the me connect MBUX while changing it, do I need to ask the dealer to reconnect me? or it is hard swapped?

You may not need to change the battery if it recharges after driving. I received low battery several times after going on vacation but the battery health/condition in MM app still shows good.
For the 48v battery I would only use an OEM battery. I also suggest an OEM 12v battery, however VARTA makes these batteries and you may be able to find a suitable non-MB branded varta battery.
Unfortunately, the batteries have to be coded into the car using a computer when replaced so that they're correctly recognized.

This message is normal. Try using a battery trickle charger when you keep the car parked for a long time.

As for the coding, some obd scanners such as launch creader elite benz V2.0 can do it unless you have XENTRY then even better.

You get the low battery notification on the car screen or on the app? If you don't drive the car pretty much daily, the car will report not a full charge. Obviously, that will happen after a vacation. After a vacation (assuming it starts), drive the car 15-30 miles and then see if it shows full charge. The electronics in these things are hinkey. Even the service mgr. at my dealership admitted that.

As a battery ages, its ability to hold a charge decreases. Using a maintainer can prolong its life if your car has frequent idle periods. Most of the world's automotive batteries originate at three manufacturers -- Clarios, East Penn and Exide. Your OE MB battery made by Varta is made by Clarios. I buy batteries at Autozone, who sources mostly from Clarios, but also from Exide. I've installed Autozone Duralast Platinum batteries in my G550 (the MB OE battery died at 42 months) and in my Jeep Rubicon. If I have a problem with either one (which I haven't had in almost 4 years), there's always an Autozone nearby (and closer than a MB dealer) to get a replacement.

CTEK - 40-206 MXS 5.0 Fully Automatic 4.3 amp Battery Charger and Maintainer 12V.
Been using it since last September with no problems.

If you are under warranty go back to the dealer. My 2023 GLC300, same engine/transmission/software, was sending a poor battery health warning to my MB app. Dealer updated several software programs and said that it addressed some form of power drain while the vehicle sat…. No issues since the updates were made and I don’t receive the low charge/needs charging messages very often and the battery health is good. We only drive the GLC 5000-7000 a year.
