Paint damage due to harsh environmental conditions isn't unusual. Parking it underground isn't the issue. Driving it in the extreme heat of Dubai in between is the issue. Not sure how car paint holds up over there, but they do test cars in extreme heat such as Death Valley and extreme cold up near the North Pole. I'd expect the paint to hold up for a while in those conditions. Other factors are chemicals used to wash the car. That looks like a window trim. I've seen those deteriorate from aggressive chemicals used in car washes on cars. If the car is still under warranty, I'd certainly take that to MB and see what they say. The paint should be warranted, unless they can demonstrate that it was caused by external factors.
