Agreed. Maybe, just maybe the looks will grow on me. Still totally undecided. Just can't get over truck, vertical front end.

I'm looking at my own post from last night and I agree with Paul. The more I see the more I dislike. If I wanted that rear quater S Class treatment I'd buy a Volvo.

It reminds me too much of a Nissan Maxima. It may grow on me though. It's probably one of those cars that the more you see it the more it grows on you.

just look as the picks of any of the AMG CLS's its a one smooth curve line from the front all the way to the back!
Although i am one that loves hips
...they do not belong on her!

I agree on two points:
I don't like the hump.
I don't care for those mirrors either.
The new CLS has a "cheap" look to it, that sexy smooth curves it what set it apart from most. I know some may say it will grow on them, but I think that is only compromising your first thought.

the new look seems to have changed one of the things that made the cls so sexy. it is supposed to be smooth and sleek like a coupe. now it seems as if the redesign went a different direction using lines that are more similar to a sedan, especially the rear. they should have left it more coupe-like because if a sedan is what u are after then u can just buy the E.

I like it.....
....it actually looks much, much better to me than the earlier pics we saw (probably "artist's renderings", which are highly dependent upon sometimes dubious info, not to mention whatever the artist's favorite recreational indulgence happens to be 
).
It looks like they had the good sense not to screw around with the basic lines too much, although I'll have to see that rear door-quarter panel flare in person before rendering final judgement.
