Sounds so good. Sounds like my CLS55. What do you guys think? I can't wait for the official launch.

I'm with ya. I'm very excited about the new 55 engine with twin turbos and the option of adding the performance pkg to increase HP and Torque to 600. There's nothing like the original 55 body design, but I'm sure the AMG version of the next generation will be stout.

1. Absolutely stupid to call it a 63 with a 5.5L engine!
2. Body roll looks excessive in some shots.
3. Not a patch on the original body shape... completely lost any connection with the old shape.
4. Don't expect the production version to make any noise or nice sound.
5. Back end is still f****** ugly, especially the rear corner!

Agreed!
There's maybe a hint of the roofline in the new one but need to see one in person to know for sure.

well, in all fairness, the current 63 is actually a 6.2L engine. it's all marketing... they are afraid a reduction in number will be step backwards in performance by the less car geeky crowd...
Maybe they could have made it a CLS 55 (with big flames around the 55). or CLS 55R ... I jest of course.
That engine alone might be enough for me to overlook the design changes...

4. Why? i bet the sound will be as good as the old 6.2 engine or even better!
5. your opinion... there are many people who fall in love with the new design. It's a revolution, if you want always the same car design go with audi...

Don't have a problem with change, just poor design.
To address Stuttgarts' comments:
3. Don't need to see one in real life! There are plenty of examples of similar design between many models and manufacturers. The point I make is that the new design has totally abandoned almost all of the strengths of the previous design.... and for what?? "progress"??? Abandoning the previous design is either an admission that it was deficient (which it was not) or change for marketing reasons..... What we see in the previous models shape is a level of design that puts beauty first, not the whims of the marketing department.
4. Europeans of all people should know that legislation and regulations will mute the sound level. The noise will be strangled by Euro emissions regs.
5. Dumb comment. Audi is just as adventurous with its design. Sure its my opinion but there is truth to point 3 above.
And still that back corner looks like something from Japan or Korea! It is a confused amalgam of lines and surfaces. The previous design was a classic case of less is more. Now the marketing department thinks more is more
